How rankings work

  • Only cleared runs appear — a Hive run below the Good tier does not show.
  • One row per device per game per day. Resubmitting a better result overwrites the old one.
  • No accounts. Identity = a random id in your browser. Clear your storage, get a new identity.
  • Handles are display-only. They don't reserve names — two players can use the same handle.
  • All leaderboards reset when the puzzle rolls over at 4:00 AM Eastern Time.

The leaderboard is meant to support a daily practice loop, not turn the site into a score-chasing arcade. Use it to compare one clean run, notice which practice family is improving, and then return to the puzzle or guide that explains the underlying decision skill.
