Instant estimates are not provider-contact requests

Kefiw separates the instant planning estimate from any provider-contact flow. The instant estimate gives line items, ranges, assumptions, risk flags, and questions without name, phone, email, full address, claim number, policy upload, or private photos.

Do not use this form for emergencies. Call emergency services, your utility, your insurer, or a qualified local professional when safety is at risk.

Plain English

What happens if I ask for an estimate?

This explains what contact details may be collected, what is not collected, and who may contact you.

Start here: Read this before sending contact information. Do not send private claim files or policy papers.

Quote: The price and work list someone gave you.
Scope: What is included and what is not included.
Proof: Photos, receipts, readings, reports, and notes.
Deductible: The money you may pay before insurance helps.
Cleanup: Stop, dry, remove, clean, or make safe.
Rebuild: Put the home back together: walls, floors, cabinets, paint, and fixtures.

Instant Damage Estimate

No contact info. No provider routing. No phone or email required.

  • Describe the damage in normal words.
  • Choose damage type, likely source, affected area, materials, timing, and money assumptions.
  • Get a line-item planning range, missing questions, risk flags, and next steps.
  • Do not enter claim numbers, policy numbers, full addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, signatures, photos, or private documents.

Request Local Provider Contact

Contact info is required only if Kefiw later offers a separate provider-contact flow and the user explicitly consents.

  • ZIP code and property role.
  • Damage type and urgency flags.
  • Rough room, square footage, material, and cleanup status.
  • Name, phone, email, preferred contact method, and best contact time.
  • Consent to be contacted about the selected property service.

What Kefiw should not collect in version one

  • Insurance claim numbers or policy uploads.
  • Adjuster estimates or mortgage documents.
  • Driver’s license, Social Security number, payment information, or financial account details.
  • Private photos or full claim files.
  • Full home address before explicit handling language is provided.

Who may receive provider-contact information

In a separate provider-contact flow, information may be routed to a restoration, rebuild/remodel, plumber, roofer, HVAC, sewer/drain, mold, fire/smoke, realtor, inspection, or pre-sale provider category. Providers are separate businesses with their own licensing, pricing, terms, privacy practices, and service decisions.

User control

Use Kefiw’s contact page to ask about an estimate request, request deletion or correction, or report a provider concern. Kefiw does not adjust claims, interpret policies, or decide coverage.

Why the disclosure is strict

The FTC has warned consumers that some lead generators collect contact information and sell it to marketers, and that deceptive lead generation can result in unwanted calls or bait-and-switch experiences. Kefiw’s Damage funnel should be specific about what is collected, why it is collected, and who may receive it.
