Medium Sudoku

Mid-difficulty Sudoku requiring candidate notation.

Medium Sudoku with ~32 starting clues. The standard Sudoku rules apply: fill every blank cell with 1–9 so each row, column, and 3×3 box contains every digit exactly once. Expect to scan and do light candidate elimination.

How to use

  1. The three rules: each row, each column, and each 3×3 box must contain every digit 1–9 exactly once.
  2. Tap a blank cell and press 1–9 to enter a digit (Backspace/Delete/0 clears).
  3. Start with naked singles (only one legal digit fits the cell), then scan digit-by-digit for hidden singles — a digit that can go in only one cell of a given row, column, or box.
  4. Red highlight means a rule was broken. Uniqueness is guaranteed, so there is always a logical next step — no guessing needed.

Before you judge the score

Treat the score as feedback on one short practice round. It may reflect speed, attention, memory, or familiarity with the format, not overall ability.

The best next step is to review one missed pattern or one slow decision, then try a related practice or guide.

Frequently asked questions

What techniques work at this level?

Single candidates, hidden singles, and basic box/line interactions usually suffice.

Is mental note-taking enough? Trust & accuracy

Usually yes. For the trickier cells, pencil-marks on paper can help until pencil-marks ship in the app.
