Neon country-silhouette deduction — 6 guesses, Haversine distance, compass arrows, Global Mastery stat.

A random country appears as a neon silhouette. You have six attempts to name it. Every wrong guess shows the distance in kilometres from your guess to the target and an arrow pointing the way. A proximity bar and a stylised world map track your mission.

How to use

  1. Look at the silhouette and type a country name — pick from the autocomplete.
  2. Wrong guesses show distance (Haversine km) and a compass arrow toward the target.
  3. Your guesses turn red on the world map; the target turns neon green when found or revealed.
  4. Solve within 6 attempts. Total countries found persist as Global Mastery.

Examples

Near miss
Guess Spain when the target is France: distance ~1,000 km, arrow ↑, proximity ~95%.

Before you judge the score

Treat the score as feedback on one short practice round. It may reflect speed, attention, memory, or familiarity with the format, not overall ability.

The best next step is to review one missed pattern or one slow decision, then try a related practice or guide.

Frequently asked questions

How is distance calculated? How-to

Haversine formula on the two capital/centroid lat-lon pairs. It is great-circle distance, not road distance.

Why does a guess need autocomplete? Troubleshooting

Spelling counts — the autocomplete accepts aliases (UK, USA, Türkiye, Holland, etc.) so you do not have to match the exact display name.

What countries are in play?

A curated set of ~50 major countries across every continent. Each game picks one at random.
